Research reports

From December 2007 we hope to initiate a new series of publications of larger research reports on NNIML. The purpose is to allow our members to use the NNIML homepage as a platform for distribution of new research. The first report is written by Norwegian researchers Ola Erstad, Øystein Gilje, and Thomas de Lange, and the title is Morgendagens medieprodusenter: Om mediefagselevers produksjonspraksiser i videregående skole (2007). Read more and download the report here.

Brief reports

In 2006 and 2007, NNIML has published seven brief reports written by members of the network presenting their research projects and/or results. Click here to read the reports.

Background

The network was established in August 2005 at the 17th Nordic Conference on Media Studies by participants in the media pedagogy workshop. So far, it is an informal network, meaning that it is not supported by public or private funding. However, we consider applying for public funding, e.g. through 'Nordforsk Såkornsmidler'.

The network has appointed a convener, Lasse Högberg from University of Karlstad, Sweden, and a co-convener, Nikolaj Frydensbjerg Elf, University of Southern Denmark, who is also in charge of the development of the homepage.

Jeppe Bundsgaard, The Danish University of Education, is assisting in maintaining the homepage; Jeppe has programmed the SmartSite software we use and kindly offered it for free.

Become an active member

The network is open for new membership for people engaged or interested in the network's purpose. Go to the Members' menu and register. As we speak (22 June, 2007), 47 researchers, teachers, developers, and people with other professional backgrounds are members of the network and/or on the network's newsletter e-mail list.

The network encourages active membership. One way of becoming active, is through the Discussion forum, where you can post any comment. If you wish to inform about an event relevant for members of the network, please send information to Nikolaj. He will then publish it in the Coming events menu. If you wish to upload a link, please feel free to do so in Links.

Newsletter

The conveners of the network publish a newsletter on a frequent basis. Please feel free to sign in, also if you do not wish to become a member.
